Description

La Tordera was born in the steep hills of Valdobbiadene, an area in northeastern Italy between the magical city of Venice and the mighty Dolomite Mountains. Valdobbiadene is the original home of Prosecco and therefore the undisputed home of the highest quality Prosecco.

For almost a century the Vettoretti family has been devoted towards the hillside viticulture in the Valdobbiadene area. Their love for the vineyards started in 1918, when the Great Grandfather Bepi planted a vine called Tordera on the Cartizze hill. This natural vine is still cultivated today and it has become the namesake of the winery. Bepi’s teachings, handed down over generations, led to Gabriella, Renato and Paolo, with the support of their parents Pietro and Mirella, to transform the company from vineyard management into a wine production company in 2003.

The family challenges itself daily to run their business in the greenest and most environmentally harmonious way possible as a way to honor the legacies given to by their forefathers...
